Cardboard Deals is live on iOS and Android

Published · Updated

Cardboard Deals started with a simple frustration: the good listings are gone before you see them. Magic singles move fast, prices are noisy, and unless you enjoy refreshing marketplace searches all day, the bargains go to whoever happened to be looking. So we built something that never stops looking.

As of this week, Cardboard Deals is live on both the App Store and Google Play. Here's what that actually gets you.

What the app does

Around the clock, we watch eBay UK and eBay US for Magic: The Gathering listings: raw singles, graded slabs and sealed product. Every listing is identified down to the exact printing (set, collector number, finish, and grading where present), then checked against that card's market benchmark. When something is listed meaningfully below what it's worth, it becomes a deal and lands in the feed.

The website shows the public feed on a short delay. The app gets every deal in real time, and that's the difference that matters when a mispriced card lasts twenty minutes.

Free, and staying free

  • The live deal feed: every deal, as it's found, filterable by market and format.
  • Price history across 500,000+ printings, combining marketplace activity with external reference prices, kept separate for raw and graded copies.
  • The card scanner: point your camera at any Magic card and get the printing, its value and its price history in seconds.
  • Collection tracking: add your cards, see what the collection is worth, and watch its value over time.
  • Discord alerts: join our server or add the deal feed to your own.

Premium, for the people who want first refusal

Premium is £4.99/month with a 7-day free trial. It adds custom deal rules (alert me when any copy of this card, or anything from this set, hits X% below market) with instant push notifications, plus unlimited scans and market-data refreshes. The free feed shows you everything; Premium tells your pocket the moment your cards appear in it.

The honest bit

We surface listings; we don't verify authenticity, and automated card matching isn't perfect. Always check the seller's feedback and the card's price history before buying. Fakes exist, and a price that looks impossibly good sometimes is. Every deal page shows you the benchmark behind the call so you can judge it yourself.

Get it

Grab the app at cardboarddeals.com/app, browse today's finds on the live feed, or come say hello in the Discord. If you run an MTG community of your own, you can even put the deal feed in your server, free of charge.

Thanks for being here at the start. Now go find something underpriced.
