Add a live MTG deal feed to your Discord server (free)

Published · Updated

The best Discord servers have that one channel where somebody posts "guys, look at this listing" and half the server clicks. We've automated that person.

If you run a Magic: The Gathering community, whether a playgroup server, an LGS Discord or a Commander club, you can now have the Cardboard Deals feed posted directly into a channel of your own. The same below-market eBay finds we post to our server, in yours, as they happen. Free, and you stay in complete control.

What your members get

Each post is a compact embed: the card, the asking price, how far below market it sits, the benchmark we judged it against, and the seller's actual photo. It links to the deal's page on Cardboard Deals, where the price history and market context live, so your members can sanity-check a deal before they commit, rather than racing blind.

Only genuine, broadcast-worthy finds go out. Nobody's channel gets flooded with 4p commons at "50% off".

Setting it up (two minutes, honestly)

  1. In Discord: Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook. Pick the channel (a dedicated #mtg-deals works best) and Copy Webhook URL.
  2. Go to cardboarddeals.com/community, paste the URL, and choose your feeds (eBay UK, eBay US, or both).
  3. That's it. A confirmation message appears in the channel straight away, and deals follow as we find them.

No bot to invite, no permissions to grant beyond the webhook you created, and nothing we can see or touch in your server except the one channel you pointed us at. Removing the feed is the same trick in reverse: paste the webhook URL on the same page, or simply delete the webhook in Discord and the feed stops on its own.

The fine print, plainly

Deal posts link to our deal pages, and from there to eBay through affiliate links, which is what keeps the feed free. We surface listings but don't verify authenticity: encourage your members to check seller feedback and the price history behind any deal, the same advice we give everywhere.

Prefer something members drive themselves? Our bot answers /deal <card name> with a card's current market picture and any live deals. It's the same one that runs in our own server, and it's invitable to yours.

Set your channel up at cardboarddeals.com/community, and if your community turns up something spectacular, we'd love to hear about it.
